You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

Psalm 139:15-16

New Hope Church is preparing to host a first of its kind community gathering in the Fox Valley. Made Known is a Pregnancy and Infant Loss event created to acknowledge the babies in our community who were made by God, known by their parents, and who will be made known through remembering and honoring their short, but significant lives. As a community, we want to surround these parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and church family with support. We want to acknowledge their loss and give them a space to grieve and heal.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Psalm 34:18

Our prayer for Made Known is that it will serve as a time of remembering, grieving, and healing for all that have been touched by this kind of loss. We believe we serve a God who makes beauty from ashes, and we believe God is once again building something beautiful. The chance to build a community of families touched by these losses. The opportunity to make our children known.

“God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things.”

2 Corinthians 1:4, 6

God never wastes a hurt! If you’ve gone through a hurt, He wants you to help other people going through that same hurt. He wants you to share it. God can use the problems in your life to give you a ministry to others. Join us on October 14th as we share each other’s grief and thank God for the strength He gives us through community.
