Come and have S’More summer fun with our New Hope family on June 26th and July 24th starting at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited…bring a friend! Also bring your lawn chairs, blankets, outdoor games (bean bag toss, ladder ball, horseshoes, etc) and come for fun, laughter and fellowship. Later we will gather around the bonfire for worship songs. Please bring s’mores fixin’s and sticks and a chunk or two of firewood to add to the fire! We will meet on the north end of our property behind the backstage area.
Are you ready? Common Ground this Sunday will be inspiring and challenging. Ever heard of the Drive Conference? It happened the beginning of May. Pastor Jeff viewed the main sessions and breakout sessions online. The opening session is engaging and helpful in so many ways. You are invited to watch the opening session this Sunday in Common Ground.

In the days following the tragedy Sunday night, I have been reading some Bible passages very slowly. Please read slowly, out loud, with me pausing for a breath: “The Lord… upholds all those… who fall… and lifts up… all who… are bowed down.” (Psalm 145:14) Let’s read once more, maybe even twice…
I’ve been praying, praying and praying some more. Praying “deliver us from evil.” Even with this evil happening, evil never gets, and I mean never gets, the final word. Grace was happening before this evil and grace is happening after and grace will continue happening in countless prayers and as the Church serves with massive flowing grace. New Hope, let’s be active in praying, praying and praying some more. Praying for souls that matter. Praying for the first responders, the police, the families, the medical servants, the churches serving, and praying without ceasing for grace upon grace upon grace. Imagine cold senseless evil ceasing with warm eternal grace never ceasing. Jesus is never ceasing grace. Jesus is the grace force in our unceasing praying together “deliver us from evil.” Praying, praying, and praying some more. Glory!

relationships and the human person in a culture active in opposition.
5/10-5/17: Annette Wiesner: Break the Chains. Does anyone really want to forgive? Or admit that we need forgiveness? Forgiveness is hard. It seems unfair and unnatural. Only through Jesus’ power and love can we embrace two of the most liberating acts of love: forgiving and being forgiven.
