Frequently Asked Questions for Community Carnival and Concert

What does it cost?  It’s FREE!*  The Carnival and Concert have been provided by New Hope Church members as a gift to our community!  New Hope is for the families in our community!  (*Kona Ice Truck will be selling snow cones)

When can I arrive?  The Carnival begins at noon and games and inflatables will be open until about 2:30 p.m.  Please come at any time, like an open house.  A fantastic concert will cap off our Walk This Way weekend at 3:00 p.m.! 

Where do I arrive?  New Hope members are asked to park on side streets around New Hope, leaving the parking lot available to guests.  (NO PARKING along American Drive)  New Hope is located at 1850 American Drive, Neenah.

What do I need to do first?  Please go to the balloon arch upon arrival.  Here you will sign a wavier and your child will receive a wristband that will allow them to play all carnival games and participate on all inflatables. (Children without a wristband will not be able to participate.)  Please also make sure to write your cell phone number on your child’s wristband.  Children are in the care of their parents during the Carnival and Concert.  A map will also be available at the balloon arch.

What can my family do at the Carnival?:  Inflatables, petting zoo, fire truck & police car, carnival games and more will be ready and waiting for your family!

What about food?  A FREE box lunch will be provided for the first 400 people by Cobblestone Food Truck.  Thank you Cobblestone!  Kona Ice will have snow cones available for purchase – yum!  The perfect summer treat!

Can I bring food?  Yes, you are welcome to bring food and water for your family.

Should I bring a stroller? You are welcome to bring a stroller or wagon.  However, the carnival is on grass and somewhat ‘bumpy’ … just as a heads up!

Sunscreen:  Please bring it!  The carnival is outside!

Rain Plan?  If it rains …(please oh please, don’t rain!) … the carnival and concert will be moved indoors.  Some carnival games may remain under the big tent.

Bathrooms:   Located inside New Hope.  Please enter the ‘Worship Center’ doors and take a left.  A volunteer will be in the building to direct you to the bathrooms in the Commons.

First Aid or Need Help?  Please visit the balloon arch. Event volunteers will be wearing name tags and a blue Walk This Way shirt so you can easily identify them.

Do I have to pre-register for the Carnival and Concert? No!  Everyone is welcome! You will need to sign a waiver before enjoying the games and activities. If you’d like to save time and get to the fun quicker, waivers will be available to complete ahead of time during VBS and between our 8:00 and 10:30 worship celebrations on Sunday July 17th.

Do you have to attend New Hope to participate?  No, everyone is welcome!  Please join us!

Can I make a donation?  The event is free, but donations can be made to volunteers at the balloon arch.

What is Soles4Souls? Soles4Souls is an organization we are partnering with this summer to help fight poverty. They collect and distribute new and used shoes around the world. Please consider bringing gently used shoes with you to the carnival to help us bless those in need! 

What is the Summer Concert?:  Please make plans to end the Walk This Way Weekend with an outdoor Summer Concert lead by some of the amazing New Hope band members. (Have you heard of New Hope’s Advent Concert?  The same band will be playing at our summer concert!) Bring lawn chairs and blankets to set up under the big tent for our Summer Concert.  Everyone is welcome!  Free admission!  The concert will last approximately 45 minutes.

I’m a New Hope member. How can I help? Volunteers are needed to help with set up, manning booths, and clean up after the concert. Please click here to sign up to help.
